My name is Eeshaan Dutt, I’m an illustrator from India, currently based in Milwaukee, WI. My work centers on visual storytelling through sequential art, where I explore how narratives can engage and connect with audiences. I am pursuing a BFA in Illustration at Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, with an anticipated graduation in May 2026.
In 2025, I worked as a gallery intern at Walker’s Point Center for the Arts (WPCA), where I was responsible for maintaining the gallery space and assisting with the youth art program. That same year, I participated in the WPCA Members Show and exhibited my short comic Lemon-ade Freak. These experiences allowed me to understand the importance of both the creative and community aspects of art.
I bring a strong work ethic, adaptability, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively. My creative process often begins with quick pencil sketches and thumbnails, which help me build and refine ideas. I view every project as an opportunity to contribute, while also learning from others, as I believe that creative growth is a lifelong process. My major sources of inspiration are movies, comics and some unorthodox practices like observing my surroundings and seeking patterns anywhere/everywhere. Outside of my artistic practice, I enjoy watching soccer and staying active through sports, which continue to inspire the discipline and teamwork I carry into my creative work.
